Ceanothus Dark Star

A very showy variety of Ceanothus with dense flowering throughout the foliage. The Ceanothus ˜Dark Star is a spreading, evergreen species of Californian Lilac with ovate, dark green leaves and striking deep blue flowers which appear in all over the plant in rounded clusters from late Spring. The tiny, richly coloured flowers are quite fragrant and contrast nicely with the darker foliage surrounding them. A great low maintenance shrub suitable for most positions including coastal areas.
Plant in medium moisture, well-drained soils. Keep in full sun in a sheltered position. In areas with very hot Summers this plant appreciates some shaded during the warmest periods of the day. Requires very little water and is drought tolerant once established. May suffer some leaf damage in Winter without suitable protection.
