Clematis Multiblue

Clematis ˜Multi Blue is a great variety of the popular climber, notable for both its foliage and intricate flowers. The deciduous foliage will appear in Spring with a bronze hue turning to mid-green as the foliage matures. Lovely blooms begin to appear soon after from early Summer onwards. These flowers are large, rich purple-blue and. The central tepals expand and open slowly, giving the flowers a multi-layered double shape. A perfect choice for trellis or fence growing.
Plant in moist, well-drained soils and keep the upper portion in full or partial sunlight. The roots prefer to be kept cool and shaded. Protection with groundcover plants or a layer of pebbles is advised. Deadhead after first blooms to encourage continued flowers.
